Acton Walks 2021
It’s been a long time since the last walk took place on the 8 March 2020! However as “Tea in the Tower” at Acton Church has recommenced on Sunday afternoons, I will also be recommencing the monthly guided walks from the Church.
The first one of these will take place on Sunday 5th September 2021.
This walk will be around 5 miles in length. The pace of the walk will be relaxed, and the route will involve mainly canal towpath and lane walking. The footpaths should be good (also hopefully dry?) and only a small number of stiles will be negotiated. As always, I recommend your wear stout outdoor shoes or walking shoes / boots.
The walk will start from outside Acton Church at 1pm, and for those who wish to indulge in cake and a drink, we will be back in time to visit the Acton Church “Tea in the Tower” community cafe (a small donation is appreciated for the drink and cake).
Dogs on leads are welcome. If you are interested can you PM me so that I know how many walkers are expected on the day. Can you be there for 12.45 for a prompt 1pm start.
Ample car parking is available in the Acton village car park.
It will good to meet up again with the regular walkers from 18 months ago and this is also an ideal walk for any walking novices who may wish to join us. You will be made very welcome.
Further guided walks from Acton will be held during the Autumn and Winter, and they will be between 4 to 6 miles in length.
