Messy Church – January 2024

Messy Church – January 2024

“Speak Lord, we are listening!” We watched the story of Samuel (played brilliantly by Adam this time) being awoken by a voice. Surely it was Eli? Children had fun identifying their Mums’ mystery voices reading some bible verses and we thought about how we hear and recognise when God is “speaking” to us, through friends, reading, music and the natural world. We decorated cakes to represent Samuel in his bed and made lavender pillows to remind us about the story. They are already well used! Peter’s group discussed in more detail, Hannah’s gift of a son she named Samuel (God hears) and his experience in the Temple and how he became a great prophet and leader of Israel.
Next time Jesus is being tested. Come and find out why, 18th February at 10am.
