Messy Church – 16th April 2023
Our Messy Easter service had everyone involved in the drama of Holy Week, from waving palms, to sharing bread and wine, snoozing while Jesus prayed in the garden, standing at the cross and on Easter Sunday discovering with amazement and joy that Jesus had risen from the dead and is alive for all who believe in him. April and Adam led our singing of “When I think about the cross”. Peter’s group discussed Jesus’ resurrection appearances, while we made butterfly cakes, butterflies to take home, a huge butterfly to hang in the Church and then all enjoyed hot cross buns (you can never have too many of those!)
